Dialogue in Hell

"Damn them, they're learning from their past. I hate
these lie-resistant strains. ... Now here's my plan:
It's NUMBERS, boys: ten thousand lies a year."
"Illogical." "They are: we'll swamp their minds."
"And just repeat the seven basic lies?
They'd bore, and see through that." "You meat-brained fool,
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT STORIES WE SELL.
Enough lies and they'll stop looking for truth."
"Just random lies?" "With hooks of course." "Can we
invent them fast enough?" "They will themselves."
"But they can't keep it up: one pause for breath
and Someone Else will whisper in their ear."
"1000 apes will scream at each lone ape."
"Impossible." "See this thing called TV?"
