God, who made minds for books and Book for minds,
made us rejoiceable to bless His Name,
psalmopoetic beasts more wild than tame,
sometimes awakened long enough to find
amazing glory showered without claim
on our hard heads, who explicate the risk
of trusting whether miracles persist
and how we rightly met him if he came.
Cattle of God, my brothers, praise our Lord
who made for us a university
      cafeteria, library, and gym,
who gives to us, in thousand-voiced accord,
      an incommensurable diversity,
and telephones to call (collect) to Him.
