Oceans of love surround us, light-years wide,
illuminated, stabilized and rife
with givers growing more abundant life
in each offer risked to become love-tied.
How many you have loved, and have loved you!
Some see, beneath your warts, the light you hide,
and some love all, even the dark inside;
Though some address mirage, yet some aim true.
Then let us swim, as little fishes do,
taking the food and drink that come for free
to open mouths amid so rich a stew,
nourishing us, unless we choose to flee,
soaking our scales and scabs completely through
with solvent water of the living Sea.
